LEFT: The original entrance to the magazine from the Casemate room beside the Lamp Room. The entrance has been bricked up and is outlined in black. A later entrance is on the right.
CENTRE and RIGHT: Storage Rooms in the Magazine. Floor level hatches were created when the Magazine was modified for 9.2-Inch guns in the early 20th Century.

Passageway2006 Archaological dig LEFT The passageway to the left of the Magazine. This once led from the casemates to the surface between the guns. Ammunition was taken along here up to the Expense Cartridge Stores by each gun. At the end of the passageway runs the extension built in the early 20th Century.

RIGHT: The original passageway from the Magazine to the surface, taken during the 2006 Archaeological dig on Mount Serapong. The concrete wall is part of the extension for the 9.2-Inch Magazine.
