Mount Serapong Battery Command Post

Battery Command PostFront View of the PostInside the Post

Three views of the Command Post. How much longer will the Post will last in its present state? If preservation work is not carried out, this and many other buildings of interest to historians on Mount Serapong will be lost.

The Post controlled the guns and from here fire commands were issued. Inside the post there would be range-finding instrumentation.

As well as the Command Post, there were five Position Finding (PF) Cells on Mount Serapong. Of these there are known to be four remaining. Two aare shown below. A PF Cell held instrumentation which was used to plot the movement of shipping and the findings were used by Tthe Command Post to confirm theirs.
