The shaded area on this old map of Singapore, shows approximately the arc of fire and range of the Siloso 6-Inch battery in February 1942. In today’s Singapore, at its northern extreme, the guns could reach to about Block 12 on Hillview Link. Moving eastwards, they could reach Bukit Gombak MRT, Chinese Garden MRT and almost to the intersection of the AYE with Jalan Boon Lay and Jurong Pier Road.
