Changi Inner AMTB Battery
The map above left shows how Changi looked before development into a military cantonment. The Inner Battery was named ‘School’, as there was a school nearby. When war came to Malaya, Changi inner was incomplete. The emplacements themselves were built, but they lacked fixtures and fittings. All four CASL emplacements had also been built. Changi Inner was unarmed, without the two Twin 6 Pounders it was built for. No temporary armament was installed.
